VLC is so well featured for TV, in partucular when the geometry needs adjustment for some reason, or the sound, in particular compression, etc. I’d hardly want a substitute, except i must regret to admit it could be more sturdier (it locks up and i need to “kill” it)… Yet, overall VLC is a definite must, then Hypnotix is my next best choice. Ah, and the sub-titles, the audio multi-lingual tracks! These would work if only the TV source could care for those rare/precious functions.
